I would recomend to try to contact the client provider.
I’ve fixed the issue.
It was a larger Windows problem. Other programs started to fail and I thought the whole PC would need to be reformatted.
However, I did this and everything (including the Ark Client v1.5.1) works great:
-Open a Windows Command Prompt (cmd) with Administrator rights.
-Type: sfc /scannow <enter> Note: This failed when I ran it.
-Type: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth <enter> Note: Keep running this over and over until it says everything is great.
-Type sfc /scannow <enter> Note: Again keep running this over and over until it says everything is great.
Hopefully this works for anyone else with a similar issue. I believe both of these Windows commands work on Windows 8 and up.
Are you sure your using the most up to date desktop client. I did hear of some issues with memory when leaving the wallet open, but that was fixed with our most recent update?

@secdata Thanks for the feedback! I’ll give this a shot.
Did you try changing the peer you were connected to?
This appears to be introduced since 1.3.0 both in x86 and x64.
I have this same issue.
Up untill Ark Client 1.2.2 it’s working very fast and smooth, from 1.3.0 onwards it doesn’t run at all.
Windows Firewall is not a problem.
Windows Defender is not a problem.
Other virus scanners are not a problem.
It doesn’t seem to be memory consuming, it takes about ~100MB Memory and 0% other resources.
After a while (it depends), you do get to see the full Ark screen, but still you can never click anything.
Unfortunately, I don’t really know what could be the problem though, but posting this here, as it is not really single user related.
So is there anything else I can do? Or will I get problems in the near future because I use the 1.2.1 version of the Client?
