deadlock ][ FORGING ][ daily 90% profit sharing, tx covered ][ Vote refund ][ True Block Weight ][ Backup node ][ Community developer and ARK Github contributor

  • 👋 Introduction

Hey, I’m roks0n (Rok) and I run deadlock delegate. I’ve been invested in ARK since around June 2017. Initially, I wasn’t very active on Slack and in any of the ARKs Github repositories, but after seeing how engaged community, delegates, and ARK core team are I started falling in love with ARK and wanted to get involved more and contribute.

    🛠 Skills

I’ve been a software engineer for a bit over 7 years and a web developer before that. Besides coding, I’ve also been a team lead for a team of 4 and am used to working closely with project/product managers.

Tech stack I’m most comfortable with:

    • Python (Django, Flask)
    • Javascript (Node, Vue, Ember)
    • Docker

I feel comfortable switching between languages and learning new ones if there’s a need. I also do a bit of devops stuff but only on my personal projects. 🤓

Besides programming, I’ve also worked on SEO and had success with putting 3 website on the top 3 results for several key keywords they wanted to rank for. Note that all of them are for local markets in Slovenia.

    📝 Proposal

    Profit sharing

    • 90% -> goes to voters
    • 10% -> reserved for my ARK related projects/tasks (described below) and ARK github contributions and covering costs of running nodes (mainnet, devnet)

    Other info

    • using True Block Weight Payouts to prevent pool hopping
    • 0.3 minimum payout
    • 5 ARK minimum balance
    • refunds cost of voting within 72h, just make sure to DM roks0n on ARK’s Slack, join deadlock’s discord) and write a message under #vote-refunds channel or msg me here

    Things I want to do:
Bellow points are not ordered by priority.

    • build delegate website
    • publish profit sharing stats on the website
    • ✅make all my tasks and todos public (transparency is 🗝) → Trello board
    • add proposal section/voting on the website
    • make a devnet faucet to make it easier for newcomers to get DARK and start getting their hands dirty
    • write few posts (3-5) about my ARK journey on my personal blog: roks0n.com (we need to get some link outside of medium.com domain to build on ARK’s SEO)
    • continue contributing in ARK’s repositories
    • continue working on arkdelegates.io (todo list is on the Trello board)
    • get familiar with ACES codebase and start helping out

  • Hi 👋 I’ve made my tasks (and progress) public on Trello. There’s also a “Feature requests/Ideas” column where I’d be happy to receive any ideas/things you’d like me to work on. You can also vote on tasks which can give me an idea how important/useful/cool something is for others.

In addition, I’ve made a zap (zapier.com) that should tweet when a task is moved to “done” column on my Twitter account.

  • Delegates can now post updates (or news) on their claimed delegate page! It’s also possible to link directly to your update like so: https://arkdelegates.io/delegate/deadlock/update/1

  • Just opened up the API to arkdelegates.io!

    https://arkdelegates.io/api/delegates/
    https://arkdelegates.io/api/delegates/deadlock/

Here’s one example it can be used by delegates: on deadlock.sh, I’ll use it to get data for my stats, proposal and updates!

If you have any feedback/ideas. Let me know! 🙃

  • I’d like to thank everyone for the continued support. I’m currently already on the 52nd spot and am really excited and grateful for the support! <3

At the moment I have a little over 400.000 ARK power behind me and I started reaching out to everyone who showed interest supporting me when I start forging.

If you haven’t reached out yet but are thinking of supporting me, DM me on ARK’s Sack, Twitter, or my delegate’s private Discord. If you have any questions/concerns/feedback I’m super happy to answer/hear it! 🖖

  • It’s only 7 days since my last update and I’m really happy and grateful to say that voting power behind me has increased significantly. At the moment of posting, I only need 284,625.95 more votes to get into the 52nd spot!

I’d like to thank the ARK community for all of their support they have shown me with their votes, positive comments, feedback, and help. This community truly is one of a kind and we need to cherish and nurture it further so it stays like this when more people join in.

  • Ahoy, everyone! I’m grateful, excited and happy to say that since several hours ago I’ve be actively forging! 🍾 🎉

  • I’ve just upgraded the relay node and will now be upgrading the forging node to the same, more powerful specs. I’m not expecting any downtime. I’ve updated the stats of my new nodes in the proposal.

  • Upgrade complete.

    FROM 2vCPU and 4GB memory
    TO 6vCPU and 16GB memory

  • I’m really happy to announce that two very good friends of mine (commanderkeen and napoo) are joining deadlock delegate to help me with the work. They will be working on improving and adding new features to arkdelegates.io so I can focus more time to investigate what work is needed and how much time would ARK Chrome wallet take to build.

New ideas what else can we add to the ARK’s Ecosystem are already brewing, but I’ll share more about that in the upcoming weeks.

Thank you again for your support and for trusting in us.🖖

  • New update!

    • we’re responsible for writing up the new official python client for ARK
    • yesterday roks0n presented ARK along with delegate Chris on OTS conference in Maribor, Slovenia -> pics to follow. Chris was presenting ARK in general and v2. roks0n was presenting ACES.
    • we’re actively helping to keep devnet up and running
    • figuring out how ACES works and dockerizing its services which will make it even easier to get it up and running
